I've revived my wordcount spreadsheet in which I keep track of my yearly wordcount from 2009 to now.

Stats are taken directly from the AO3 stats page, however, this allows me to play with the numbers a bit more and keeps me motivated.

I can totally see what was going on in fandom for me and my state of mind here in this graph.

2013, for example, is all Teen Wolf. I was ridiculously prolific in that fandom, holy shit.

Then you see my output dwindle to basically nothing in 2016 - gee, I wonder what was going on then? (spoiler alert: that's when the antishippers hit fandom with a vengeance - talk about chilling effect, it's right the fuck there in the numbers)

2020 - Lockdown! I made good use of the Covid lockdowns here by pulling out all the complete and almost complete fic off my hard drive, finished and/or cleaned them up, and posted those suckers.

That wasn't sustainable (I ran out of hard drive fic 🤣), but it seems like it kicked me out of my post-anti funk and I've been fairly consistent since then.

This year I seem to be off to a decent start - might be the fact I'm on a mission to bump Teen Wolf off the top spot in my fandoms list on AO3 🤣 I'm almost there, just a couple more fics and Supernatural will be the fandom in which I've written more individual stories.

I'm also trying to post at least once per month. So far I'm killing it, but it's early days yet.

Whatever works to keep me writing 😉
